Alexandria Soto
Alexandria Soto, an Arizona State University graduate, holds a MSW degree in Social Work from ASU. Her first experience in social services was through working at Chicanos Por La Causa assisting homeless individuals and families facing foreclosure and eviction. This invaluable experience led her towards a dedicated career in behavioral health and her work with persons who have a serious mental illness and those with general mental heath issues. She has served on Board of Directors of non-profit organizations, volunteered in her community and has formed close professional and personal ties as a result of her work this field.Alexandria believes in serving her community and serves as a volunteer supporting the Obama Administration in passing hallmark legislation like The Patient Protection and Affordable Heath Care Act of 2010. She is an advocate for persons with mental health and physical disabilities, for the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act-the Dream Act and education initiatives for adolescent girls. She has been married to Juan Soto for 23 years and her daughter, Esperanza, is active in social and racial justice issues in Tucson.
