Alicia M. Brown
If you have the ability to make a difference, why wouldn’t you? Alicia M. Brown is the Director of Community Relations for 35-year-old valley non-profit, Triple R Behavioral Health. Brown has also been appointed as a second-term Commissioner to the City of Phoenix Human Relations Commission.
A long time advocate for those who can’t always advocate for themselves, Brown has led many projects, sat on and chaired multiple committees and has been a voice for those who haven’t always been heard, including: Magellan’s Inter-Agency Committee, Yavapai Child Fatality Review Team, Safe Kids Coalition, PTA President, etc. Working to enhance awareness and be sure differences arecelebrated, not tolerated she has also chaired Phoenix’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Living the Dream Awards Nominations Committee since 2005. Browns’ work history includes countless speaking engagements, event and conference planning, marketing and related consulting, development of promotional materials, and media and community relations. When not working or volunteering, she enjoys cooking and other creative activities and lives in Glendale with her husband, two teenage daughters, and several spoiled four-legged friends.
Brown believes in the old African Proverb, ‘When elephants fight, it is the ground that suffers’ and shares that the last several terms offighting elephants have done enough damage.
